Dr. Ionela Mădălina Grosu

Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist

Med Anima Iași

I am passionate about understanding how the human mind works and the therapeutic resources available to improve the quality of life of patients. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to meet with patients who choose to open up within the doctor-patient relationship, I want to create a space where they feel my desire to know their life stories.

Madalina Grosu - psychiatrist - Med Anima Iasi

I am a specialist psychiatrist and psychotherapist.

I graduated Medical School under University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Gr. T. Popa” of Iași with a bachelor’s degree in Psychiatry with the topic “Childhood Autism. Aspecte clinico-terapeutice”. I did my residency training at the Socola Institute of Psychiatry Iasi. During my residency I completed modules in Wards II Women and VII Acute, managing to meet patients with both acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. I also complemented my knowledge by performing on-call duty, thus understanding how to manage a patient representing a psychiatric emergency.

I wanted to offer my future patients an approach as complex and empathic as possible, having a passion for psychotherapy I followed the training in Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy at the Institute for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy Training (October 2020-present). I believe that psychotherapy is a complementary method to drug treatment, thus managing to provide each case with individualized management tailored to their needs.

The clinical experience led me to turn my attention to addictions, which is why I volunteered at the Association of Alcoholics in Recovery Clubs in Iasi, where the desire to understand how I could approach the stories behind addictions was born.

The practical part represented by involvement in working with patients with different disorders, ages and needs was supported both through study, but also through scientific activity represented by publishing as author and co-author of specialized articles, papers presented at national/international conferences, graduation from numerous postgraduate courses and Master’s degree in Health Services Management in the Medical-Pharmaceutical Field.

The willingness to work with The Med Anima Clinic came naturally when I was looking to familiarize myself with innovative treatments to complement my knowledge. Therefore, I saw it as an opportunity to work with a clinic that prioritizes professionalism and the desire to offer the patient the resources that exist worldwide.
