Psih. Cristina Roncea
Psihoterapeut
Clinica Med Anima Timișoara
“I’ve always liked being around people. To listen to their stories, to support them, to help them. This, along with my passion for psychology and my curiosity about the human nature, guided my steps towards choosing to become a psychotherapist.
I strongly believe that every person is precious and has the ability to build the life they want. This is possible through self-acceptance and self-knowledge, living in accordance with personal values and the courage to make whatever change is necessary. “
Most of the times it’s not easy to make the changes that bring us closer to the most authentic version of ourselves. Usually, change comes with a dose of discomfort – with facing fears and powerful emotions, it comes with a commitment to ourselves, to choose to do the things that bring us closer to long-term goals over the satisfaction of momentary desires or pleasures, it comes with breaking away from familiar behaviors and thinking patterns that no longer serve us.
Change can be a difficult and uncomfortable process, but it does help having a partner to challenge us to get out of our own minds, to be able to see things from a different perspective, and help us stay committed to the change process.
If you feel that you need a change in your life, if you need help to understand yourself or feel better or if you simply want to put your thoughts in order, I invite you to unravel your story together.
I am here to be that partner to help you work with yourself in a safe space, with trust and compassion, so that you can better understand who you are, what your needs are and what you can do from now on to build a happy life.

Post-holiday sadness – is it depression? what do we do with this feeling?
Studies show that vacations improve wellbeing, increase positive affectivity, reduce stress and exhaustion, but all these effects seem to be lost in the first week back at work and we almost return to the state we were in before we went on vacation.
Emotional blackmail – how do you recognize it, how do you fight it?
Emotional blackmail is a form of subtle manipulation whereby the manipulator attempts to influence or control the target person through psychological and emotional pressure in order to get them to act in a certain way, to the detriment of their own interests and well-being. Emotional blackmail usually works in closer relationships (parent-child, family, couple, friendships), because the manipulator uses the meaning of the relationship and often tries to create feelings of (unjustified) guilt to get what he wants.
Depression and its management in the family
What to do when a loved one is experiencing depression? What NOT to do when you want to help someone with depression? When a member of our family or a close friend suffers from depression it is challenging for everyone, but depression is treatable and emotional and social support greatly improves treatment outcomes.
Impostor syndrome
